Two Slash Four Cloud Lip Chillers | These were released a couple of months ago, and I’ve picked up most of the shades over time. (Spoiler alert: Yes, I love them.)
The Lip Chillers are effectively base shades that shift the color of your natural lips. They are a whipped consistency that apply sheerly but evenly, are incredibly lightweight, and also a bit blurring. I think you can see all of these traits in the first two swatch photos – it was actually difficult to show a more opaque version of the product because they genuinely start blending as soon as the product layer between the applicator and your skin is thin enough to start spreading. For this reason, the color opacity can only be slightly built up, but you can layer different colors to get a different shade as they don’t set down. They remain the same moussey consistency as when you apply them and hold true to their “cloud” description, making them exceptionally comfortable.

These are essentially a differently packaged matte sheer lip balm, which has remained one of my favorite types of products for literal years (ever since the Nars Soft Matte Tinted Lip Balms). Against my very fair skin, my pigmented lips can sometimes present too much contrast or vividness for my liking, especially with more natural makeup. For these scenarios, I love to grab a lip base such as these to either directly cool + mute my lips, such as with Icy Dove or Cool Dust. However, I also love wearing the other shades alone when I want a more intentional lip color but still a muted effect to match my low saturation levels, and they always look completely at home with the rest of a look.

I don’t know what it is about Two Slash Four as a brand, but every time I try a product from them, it instantly becomes a lasting favorite of that entire product category. Happy to share the other products I have from them if there’s interest!
I’d also love a bit of feedback regarding your preferred swatch format for lip products so that I can continue making content that is most helpful for you! I’ll (attempt to) add a poll and will use the results for subsequent posts.
