Nars Insatiable Liquid Blush

Nars Insatiable Liquid Blush | So good, I went back for more. Nars is one of the few mainstream brands that I can almost blindly trust with formulations!

These liquid blushes are *very* lightweight, thin, pigmented (but not intimidatingly so), and longwearing. I’ve actually yet to experience a day where the pigment faded before I was ready to remove my makeup.

One of the most impressive qualities is how evenly and easily you can either sheer them out or build them up, no matter the shade depth. To sheer them out, either put a small dot directly on your cheek – they DO NOT STAMP (!) – or you prime a brush with product on the back of your hand before applying. Either way is a solid approach. Conversely, this launch also seems to be quite inclusive, as on the other end of the spectrum, they can very easily build to their full pigment.

Sheering them out is also not something you have to mentally prepare yourself before you apply (iykyk). For instance, tones like Brash and All Access can give this lovely sun-kissed flush of color; however, these types of tones are almost always ones that I have to be incredibly careful with because of my skin tone, and this is quite literally one of the only exceptions I’ve ever found.

I find the finish on these to be a beautiful satin that can flex to be more glowy or more matte depending on how you prime and/or set your face. They have such a nice natural look to the cheeks, and even more impressively? I’ve never had them catch on powder underneath.

Lastly, the packaging is very considered. The bottle itself is glass and feels quite luxe to interact with, but the doe foot also feels carefully designed. While it initially picks up a decent amount of product, you can also see how easy it is to wipe excess onto the (also well-designed) stopper, leaving a only the small amount of product remaining in the well.

These actually launched a couple of months ago, which is when the bottom four shades joined my collection. I then ordered the remaining three shades pictured. While I don’t love site-exclusive shades for accessibility reasons, it’s still nice to see them offered.

Have you tried these?
