Makeup by Mario Long-Wear Cream Shadow | The name says it all!
With the ongoing Sephora sale and so many being interested in this product, it felt like the perfect time to provide swatches of the ones I own.
The MbM Long-Wear Cream Shadow is one of the sturdiest cream shadows on the market. They have this kind of drier (almost fluffy) mousse consistency that isn’t overly spreadable, encouraging you to put the product largely where you want it to stay but also maintaining enough moisture for the product to be blended within a few seconds. After it sets, it then *sets* – it’s not going anywhere until you intentionally remove it at the end of the day. You don’t need anything else to help these last because of how well they function as a primer as well.

This isn’t one I would suggest layering because of how intensely it sets and can therefore look a little thick and textured if you do. However, you also don’t need to because of how much coverage these offer and how smoothly they blend.
The range currently comes in a range of neutrals that lean mostly neutral to warm (and honestly, that I hope is further expanded into some cooler tones eventually!). Due to its popularity, the shimmer finish was recently introduced, but the drier consistency that makes this wonderful for a matte is exactly what I don’t think translates as well into other finishes. Unfortunately I just think the formula makes shimmer look quite flat instead of soft. I’ve heard that some of the shimmers are more flattering and a little shinier than others, so I’d love to hear about your experience with them. As a whole though, I’d recommend the mattes.
What do you think of these? Are you similarly hoping for more shades?
