Lisa Eldridge Seamless Glide Cream Shadow Stick | A familiar application, modernized.
The Seamless Glide Cream Shadow Stick is the second new formula introduced this holiday season within the limited Gemstone Collection. It’s a very smooth formula that deposits pigment with ease and that can be either sheered out for a soft wash of color/dimension or built up for more impact before locking down. It’s not overly creamy, making it super easy to control and resulting in a really flattering finish on eyelids.

Eyeshadow sticks often aren’t my favorite method of application because many of them are too emollient in a way that they just have no lasting power with my hooded lids. As I’ve been testing these over the last few days, I was really struggling with creasing and fading; however, specifically only at the top, innermost part of my crease – essentially where my eyes are most hooded. It didn’t seem like others were experiencing this, casting suspicion that hooded lids might be the culprit considering everywhere else was budgeproof. Turns out, I needed to adjust my application in a way I hadn’t yet tried.
I continued applying in thin layers but changed two things: I left my lid closed while the product dried since these do have a few seconds of playtime. At the end of my application and once the product set, I also used a brush to “sweep” out any excess product specifically in the crease (even if it didn’t appear there was any). These two steps changed the entire experience for me, and my shadow now remains budgeproof in my crease as well. I always make sure there is no additional moisture on my lids prior to going in with eyeshadow, but even so (and quite impressively), the side without primer fared slightly better! You might get the most minimal transfer of shimmer when running your finger over it but no base pigment.
Similar adjustments might be necessary if you’re encountering issues with your eyelid/skin type, but I can now confidently say that I think these will work for everyone! I’m glad I no longer feel like I have to skip out on the excitement with this one and hope we get more shades in the future given how beautifully nuanced these are.

The packaging has the same features as that of the lipsticks, where the box has a nice weight to it, is nicely constructed, and can genuinely be gifted as is. The eyeshadow sticks also have a color-coordinated band at the bottom, making it easy to tell which one you’re reaching for.
I’d love to know if you picked up any of the Lisa Eldridge holiday launches, and if so, what you think of them!
