Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Light Tricks Eye Palette | Charlotte continues to give us everlasting gobstopper names also giving us a head start on the holidays!
This palette is part of the 2026 holiday collection, and while this release is notorious for being hit or miss quality, it so far feels like a good one! I haven’t yet had the opportunity to put this one on my eyes as it was just delivered today but couldn’t wait to swatch this one on arrival. Also thought these might be helpful to those who are debating whether to pick up this palette since it tends to be quite limited.
As soon as I saw this palette, I knew I’d be grabbing it. This type of softer/muted but still grounded color story is so up my alley and is really getting me in the mood for cooler weather. It’s incredibly easy to use both on a daily basis or for special occasions, especially since there’s really only 1 warmer shade, and I love the size of the compact + number of shades – enough to keep options open but not so many that it’s overwhelming. The inclusion of this dusty blue sealed the deal!
The mattes (or “sculpt” shades) feel very soft and almost velvety, carrying decent pigmentation. The shimmers (or “pop” shades) feel smooth and are on the drier side. The drier texture in both the mattes and shimmers feels similar in my opinion to the core collection quads, which in my experience will allow for greater longevity as opposed to a more emollient texture. However, I did notice that the finer reflect particles in the shimmers have a tendency to “fluff” away from the base pigment so definitely recommend a glitter primer.
Out of my own curiosity, I pulled out my Hypnotising Pop Shots from a few years ago to see how the most similar ones compared. I would describe the palette shimmers as a “lite” pop shot – sheerer and with less reflect but still that glimmery, nearing glossy effect.
