Rhode Pocket Blush | Swatching my blushes to hold me over until the bronzers launch!

Don’t get me wrong, I initially had my suspicions about Rhode being “just another celebrity brand,” but once I heard about (and subsequently tried) the Glazing Milk especially, I was quite intrigued. You can clearly see that by the time we reached blushes, I was a goner 😂

Rhode products are just really kind to my dry skin, and the blushes are no exception. They have this beautiful satiny finish that never goes too glowy, – which is (maybe surprisingly) not usually my standby choice! – and just ends up looking like healthy skin.

As for the shades, some of the tones are so beautifully muted, but even the brighter ones have this quality that makes them blend so easily even into my very fair skin. And it’s not because they necessarily have a low pigment load, it’s more that the pigment level is perfectly matched with the formula’s balance of slip and sturdiness. It’s why I genuinely had no reservations getting the latest installments of Teacup and Candy Apple, which I typically would run FAR away from.

The packaging still isn’t necessarily my favorite, probably because I do love details that make getting ready feel that much more *special.* However, I must say it is low fuss and relatively practical, though sometimes a little slippery for my preference. In particular, I really like the diameter of the blush – it feels like the perfect balance of being big enough to cover a reasonable surface area while never veering on feeling like you don’t have sufficient control. This, in combination with the formula, make them very approachable and never challenging to use.

While undoubtedly attached to a prominent name, this product’s performance definitely stands on its own, so my genuine kudos to those behind this formula! Now you have some insight as to why I look forward to shade extensions, as well as why I plan to be all over a hopefully delicious bronzer launch 🙂‍↕️

Have you tried the Rhode Pocket Blush? I’d love to know what you think and what your favorite shade is!

(Left side = blended, right side = built up)elpful, please like and share! My eyes and steady hands would appreciate it 😉
