Signature Lip Sheer Lip Liner. By nature of me having every shade – including those that released today – I don’t think I need to wax poetic about how much I love these. Upon the “Bespoke” shade’s release in the Le Gloss Set from Holiday 2023, it immediately became one of my favorite products of all time and has yet to be dethroned.
The formula in general is more sheer but buildable, having a slightly glossy finish until drying down. Having said that, four of the new shades were released in a “rich” colorway for more immediate pigment payoff – Cassis, Subconscious, Cowboy, and Bauhaus. The shade extension seems to have been carefully vetted so that it truly adds to the offering of nuanced tones.
The nature of this product inherently affords a different degree of flexibility and allows them to comfortably work as both liners and lip color. It’s a very “choose your own adventure” product. While they don’t lock down in the same way as other lip liners, I do think they stay longer than you might anticipate given the formula’s description. They’re also so fuss-free and low stakes that I don’t mind reapplying after a few hours, especially since it also means they’re never drying.
A sheer lip liner is not for everyone, but it is most certainly for me. Having extremely fair, muted skin means I typically have to be very mindful in application so that color isn’t immediately *too much* in comparison to my face, so for something to be easy in that regard is a godsend.
