Lisa Eldridge Liquid Lurex Eyeshadow | With the official release of the holiday collection inclusive of a new eyeshadow formula, it felt an appropriate time to share the ones I own!

If you can’t tell from both the number of these that I own and their obvious usage, this is my absolute favorite liquid shimmer eyeshadow formula, not to mention one of my favorite formulas in my entire collection.

Liquid eyeshadows are notorious for being difficult to use and/or difficult to look nice, which is why there are so few that are consistently recommended not only from me but across the beauty community. It’s also the reason that when a banger formula is available, it’s typically more noteworthy than new formulas in other product types – this is one of them.

The Liquid Lurex eyeshadows can be swiped on and blended for a more sheer wash of sparkling color or built up to have a more impactful look. The doe-foot applicator deposits the perfect amount of color to give you sufficient product to play with but not overwhelm your lid, and the formula itself gives you enough time to blend without rushing before fully setting for a long-lasting look.

Once each layer sets, you’re able to build it for more intensity. This is where the formula is a particularly impressive standout – I’ve never experienced patchiness when building up (or sheering out for that matter), and it never gets that thick, crackly appearance that ruins the desired effect. They’re super flattering and lightweight at any pigment level and are very easy to control thanks to the moussey consistency.

As for the shades, you can’t go wrong. In true Lisa fashion, they may initially seem like tones you can get elsewhere, but the expertise that goes into each one really shows in both their nuance and the selected pearls. I don’t typically love multi-colored sparkle in a go-to shade, but these are perfectly coordinated so as to add to the shade rather than distract. Some shades also have more shine/pearl than others, which is most visible in the unfocused shots.

My most worn is Emily, but I genuinely adore them all and look forward to further expansions!
