Tom Ford Eye Color Duo Lumiére | Tom Ford remains breaking my heart, but with this Love Collection, at least it’s in a good way 🤍
The latest release of these eyeshadow duos completely gripped me once I saw @lenalluregram’s post, as they are much more beautiful in person compared to the promo photos.
These are the first shadows I’ve purchased following the rebrand, and I’m super impressed with the truly luxurious formula. It’s sophisticated, smooth, and easy to work with especially given the versatility of the wet/dry formula. When dry, the shadows have a slightly softer pigmentation level to deliver an elegant, more subtle luminosity. When wet, you will get more impact and coverage. They blend so nicely with no fallout, and while the shades themselves aren’t groundbreaking by any means, they were expertly selected to be flattering across a range of skin tones.
The duo in 01 Rose Desire contains an icy champagne and what the brand calls a “rose quartz shimmer.” The champagne shade is a beautiful topper that can have that nearly wet-looking effect, while the pink is a warmer pink with a cool reflect. This shade in particular is where the importance of nuance shows through, as the warm base keeps it from looking closer to illness vs. elegance, while the comparatively cooler shine lends itself to a romantic look.
The duo in 02 Smoked Rose is more neutral, containing a deeper champagne and bronzey shade. I really love the tones of this one in particular and see myself reaching for it a lot, especially as the nature of the wet/dry formula means it could be worn softer during the day and more intensely at night.
The only thing I’m not in love with is the packaging. The pink compact and dust bag, along with the rose gold Tom Ford motif are all lovely. Unfortunately, I do feel that the matte plastic cheapens it a bit as it’s not as heavy in hand and just feels a bit flat.
Overall, looking forward to playing with these more and seeing how the brand continues to evolve! Do you have your eye on the new duos or another product from the Love Collection?
