Half Magic Glitterpucks ✨ I think we could all use a little sparkle ahead of the long weekend, and these will always fit the bill!
The Glitterpucks are genuinely one of the most special products I have in terms of amount of effort vs. impact of effect. Upon application, these immediately look glassy and wet. You can feel the infused moisture when you touch them, which I think helps them spread very easily and evenly; however, very quickly afterwards, they develop a non-sticky grip that results in no fallout or creasing throughout the day.
You can apply them sheerly for a wash of sparkle or layer them more intensely (as these swatches are) to get maximum impact. When they are layered more, you can more easily see the shifts in the shades that have them.
Something I’m always concerned about with a product that looks as these do is that they will irritate my especially sensitive eyes, but I am so happy to say that they never have – an incredible feat for mine in particular! They are never gritty, and due to having no fallout, I also don’t have to worry about pieces falling into my eyes over time.
While there are other sparkly, wet-effect shadows on the market, these really might be the best demonstration of them and certainly the quickest way to achieve that look. It’s also worth noting the MASSIVE amount of product you get. Compared to something like the Urban Decay Moondust shadows, you’re getting 5x the product for a few dollars more – and in my humble opinion, a better outcome. The only warning I have is to not tip them over when opened because the entire puck WILL fall out… though it can be squished back together due to the moisture-infused formula.
My favorite shade is probably Glimmer Pop because it is a gorgeous, versatile champagne without ever going orange. The limited edition shade “Feel Something” in collaboration with Euphoria is certainly giving it a run for its money though!
Donni Davy really injects the fun, creativity, and playfulness back into makeup without it ever going childish, and these are an impeccable showing of that. These recent shade extensions now have me yearning for a taupe!
