Dior Backstage Glassy Glow Stick. These are a new product within Dior’s beauty line, and one that I think rounds out their highlighter collection quite well alongside their existing powder and liquid formulations.
These sticks have quite a melty, emollient base, resulting in them feeling quite hydrating, and come in two finishes: glossy (no shimmer/transparent) and glazed (fine shimmer). The shimmer in the glazed finishes does not really appear as particles on the cheeks, which I think is aided in part to the already dewy base disguising them a bit. The only one out of these that is more intense is Glazed Ice but still remains non-glittery.

They don’t fully set down, and that balmy texture is what I think will be a deciding factor for whether you will enjoy them or not. On my dry skin, they are not sticky and become less balmy as they soak into the skin over time.
The other factor is if you are okay with having a scented face product, as these carry the same vanilla mint scent as their Rosy Glow Blush Stick and Lip Glow Butter. The scent is not subtle either – I smell it as soon as I open the package, even if a few inches away from my face, but is not something I can detect once applied.

In comparison to other highlighter sticks, these are exceptionally similar to the Chanel Baume Essentiel and the Westman Atelier Lit Up Highlight Stick. They all have that melty consistency pretty immediately upon contact with the warmth of your skin.

The packaging is not only gorgeous but also practical. The outer casing is clear, while the font on the silver tube indicates the color of the product itself. (Essentially the equal but opposite of the blush sticks, which have a tinted outer casing but silver font on the inner component.)
I think these are really beautiful, and I’m glad to have added them to my collection. While I’ve seen some complaints about their sheerness, the differences do show up at least on my very fair skin so that they’re all unique.
I clearly enjoy this type of formula by nature of having comparisons, but it is a product where you need to know your preferences. Would love to know what you think!
